Director of Communications, Financial Services

Responsibilities

• Own client accounts end to end: strategy, storytelling, and results. You'll also manage and develop a Senior Associate.
• Land top-tier coverage. Bring real relationships with the reporters and editors who cover financial services and adjacent regulated sectors, and grow them on our clients' behalf.
• Expand our new-media layer: podcasts, newsletters, YouTube and creators. You'll decide which independent voices matter for each client and get them there before the mainstream story runs.
• Design in-person experiences. CEO dinners, conference presence, roundtables, launch and earnings-week programs. Events are where relationships get made and where the next quarter's coverage starts, and you'll own them.

Requirements

• A record of leading client accounts and growing them.
• Communications experience in financial services, or another technical, regulated sector. Financial services is the focus.
• Real relationships with tier-one media, plus the clips to prove it.
• The ability to make complex, regulated businesses newsworthy.
• Fluency in new media: you know which podcasts and newsletters move a market and have placed clients on them.
• Experience building events that produce coverage and relationships, not just attendance.

Preferred

• Bonus: experience in AI, digital assets, or another regulated sector such as healthcare.
