  • Standout: Volunteer leadership role with 5–10 hours/month (more during events).

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead public relations efforts through social media, press releases, website updates, email outreach, and other communication platforms.
  • Develop marketing materials that promote BYDIE’s mission, events, campaigns, and initiatives to both members and the broader community.
  • Create recruitment strategies designed to attract new members and increase engagement among young Black voters and leaders in the Inland Empire.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Support rapid-response and ad-hoc communications when timely messaging is needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational growth and impact.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital outreach strategies.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.) — preferred but not required.
