Job Summary

Own the college relations engine across marketing, media, community engagement, and brand consistency to grow BMCC visibility and drive recruitment touchpoints.

  • Own escalation-free ownership of campus-wide communications, publications, and media that showcase BMCC excellence to students and the community.
  • Coordinate budgeting, vendor relations, and annual advertising plans to sustain a cohesive external image.
  • Lead cross-department collaboration on program promotions, events partnerships, and social channels to expand reach.

Job Description

Own College Relations strategy and execution across marketing, media, community engagement, and brand consistency to boost BMCC visibility and recognition.

  • Responsibilities: Develops and plans College Relations including external college relations, community engagement, marketing, media, publications, and advertising to broaden BMCC’s visibility and recognition.
  • Responsibilities: Plans, develops, and produces all College marketing and media; maintains a comprehensive college-wide community interaction, marketing and media strategy.
  • Responsibilities: Participates as a member of assigned College teams and committees.
  • Responsibilities: Develops College media that serves marketing purposes; works with other departments to produce and promote schedule of classes, college catalog, departmental brochures, e-newsletter, and other publications to ensure materials present a consistent image of excellence and quality and maintain BMCC brand integrity.
  • Responsibilities: Responsible for the management, design, production and content of College media and community relations efforts and materials.
  • Responsibilities: Prepares and oversees advertising budget and authorizes spending in alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Responsibilities: Prepares Requests for Proposals for printing and design services, and works with vendors to develop product.
  • Responsibilities: Develops and maintains strong relationships with advertising representatives; develops annual advertising schedule and plan; designs advertising to foster a positive image of the College.
  • Responsibilities: Collaborates with all College departments to support recruitment, retention and instructional programs; promotes new program rollout and program-specific promotional plans.
  • Responsibilities: Manages the maintenance and updating of BMCC website and all social media pages; develops College social media policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in communications, marketing, media development, or public information.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license; travel is required, mostly within the College district. Some statewide travel for professional development may be necessary.
  • Entails a flexible work week, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.

Preferred

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking, reading, and writing ability.
