Director of Client Services
EverSpark Interactive | Legal Marketing Agency Location: Atlanta, GA (remote) | Reports to: CEO | Compensation: $85,000–$100,000
About EverSpark
EverSpark Interactive is a digital marketing agency built exclusively for law firms. For 17 years, we've helped law firms grow through SEO, PPC, Local Services Ads, and AI Visibility strategy — turning marketing investment into real business results for the attorneys we work with.
We're based in Atlanta, with our office at Industrious, and we've built a culture that's professional without being stiff. Our team is young, energetic, and genuinely invested in our clients' growth — we show up wanting to win for the firms we work with, not just check boxes on a retainer.
We're growing, and we're looking for a Director of Client Services to be the operational backbone that ensures every client sees the results they're paying for — and knows it.
The Role
The Director of Client Services owns the relationship between what our teams deliver and what our clients experience. This is a new leadership layer sitting above our Account Managers and team leads (Link Building, SEO, Content, Paid Ads) — you'll set direction and hold accountability across both groups, not just coordinate alongside them. You'll sit at the intersection of strategy, execution, and communication — making sure SEO, PPC, content, and link building work isn't just happening, but is visible, on-time, and tied back to business growth for every client on our roster.
This is not a support role. You are the person who catches the ball before it drops, who pushes team leads when work is stalling, and who makes sure account managers are never explaining a gap to a client because internal teams didn't communicate.
What You'll Own
Client Outcomes
- Serve as the senior client-facing point of accountability, ensuring services are delivered on schedule and tied to measurable business growth (cases signed, not just rankings or clicks)
- Partner with account managers to identify at-risk accounts early and drive resolution before churn becomes a conversation
- Own client retention and satisfaction as a measurable outcome — not a byproduct of good work happening elsewhere
Client Health & Reporting to Leadership
- Conduct a monthly health check on every active client — delivery status, results trajectory, communication quality, and churn risk
- Build and own a standardized health scorecard so account status is measured consistently across the whole book, not just gut feel
- Report client health directly to the CEO on a monthly basis, flagging at-risk accounts early enough to act, not after a client has already checked out
- Track trends over time so leadership can see whether the account base is getting healthier or riskier, not just a monthly snapshot
Pitches & Prospect Walkthroughs
- Join select new-business pitches to walk prospective clients through EverSpark's actual delivery process — what onboarding looks like, how reporting works, how ROIOn ties strategy to signed cases
- Build and maintain the process walkthrough materials (onboarding timeline, sample reporting, ROIOn demo) that sales uses to sell process rigor and transparency, not just promises
- Act as the credibility bridge between "what we say we do" in a pitch and "what actually happens" in month one — a strong differentiator against PE-owned competitors who can feel like a black box once a contract is signed
- Partner with sales/Terrell on which deals warrant your involvement (e.g., larger accounts, multi-practice firms, competitive pitches) rather than sitting on every call
Operations & Workflow
- Own and continuously optimize our Monday.com project management environment — boards, automations, handoffs — so nothing slips between teams
- Directly manage and set direction for our team leads across Link Building, SEO, Content, and Paid Ads, building workflows that are realistic, trackable, and accountable
- Oversee our Account Managers, ensuring client communication is consistent, proactive, and grounded in what's actually happening on delivery
- Identify bottlenecks before they become client-facing problems, and fix the process, not just the instance
- Establish clear SLAs between departments (e.g., content turnaround, campaign launch timelines, reporting deadlines) and hold teams to them
Communication & Reporting
- Redesign and standardize monthly client agendas so every call has a consistent structure, clear takeaways, and a direct line from "what we did" to "what it's worth"
- Work with account managers to ensure internal teams' work — and its impact — is being translated into language clients actually understand and value
- Build a consistent internal reporting rhythm so leadership always has visibility into account health across the book of business
- Lower priority, as bandwidth allows: own the production calendar for a client newsletter (monthly, quarterly, or annual cadence TBD) covering strategy updates, algorithm/Google changes, and EverSpark team news
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in client services, account management, or operations leadership at a marketing agency (legal vertical experience is a strong plus, not required)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams — this role has direct management responsibility over team leads and account managers, so real people-management experience matters
- Deep comfort with project management tooling (Monday.com experience strongly preferred)
- A track record of building or fixing workflows, not just following them
- Strong written and verbal communication — you'll be translating technical SEO/PPC work into business outcomes for non-technical audiences
- Data fluency — comfortable in spreadsheets, dashboards, and client reporting tools; you verify numbers before they go to a client
- A bias toward flagging problems early and closing the loop, not letting things linger
- Comfortable presenting to prospective clients in a sales context — confident explaining process and results to people who haven't signed yet
- Experience building and delivering status reporting directly to executive leadership, with the judgment to flag risk early rather than smooth it over
A Few Things That Would Make You a Standout Candidate
- Experience building or improving a client newsletter or recurring communication program
- Familiarity with SEO/PPC agency KPIs well enough to sanity-check what teams are reporting before it reaches a client
- Experience designing onboarding processes for new clients, not just steady-state account management
- A point of view on how to run a QBR (quarterly business review) that clients actually look forward to
Why EverSpark
You'll have real influence here — not just executing someone else's process, but building the one that scales as we grow. We're independently owned, which means the people doing the work have a say in how it's done. If you want to build the operational engine behind a growing, founder-led agency, we want to talk to you.
