Job Summary

Drive growth and client-service leadership in an agency setting focused on expanding existing accounts and winning new business.

  • Own growth across clients and lead new business development.
  • Must-have: 8+ years in agency account management, business development, and team leadership.
  • Standout: proven ability to coach a Client Services team and align cross-functional delivery.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Grow existing client relationships β€” partner with clients to expand scope, deepen trust, and create opportunities for account growth
  • Lead new business development β€” oversee lead generation, build and maintain a healthy pipeline, drive pitches and proposals, and close new accounts
  • Serve as the senior client advocate within the agency, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and at the quality standard clients expect
  • Lead, mentor, and coach the Client Services team β€” set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and create a real path for professional growth
  • Oversee scoping, estimating, and billing across all active accounts, with a clear eye on profitability and scope discipline
  • Partner with creative, strategy, and technology leads on technical projects β€” including website development and digital platform work β€” bringing enough subject matter fluency to lead scoping conversations, anticipate risk, and hold the line on budget and timeline
  • Proactively identify risks to client satisfaction, project delivery, or budget, and mitigate or escalate before they become problems
  • Drive continuous improvement in how the Client Services team scopes, delivers, and reports on work
  • Lead client-facing and internal meetings with clarity and efficiency
  • Contribute to agency-level strategic planning and operations

Requirements

  • 8+ years of account management, business development, and team leadership experience in an agency environment
  • Demonstrated track record of growing existing accounts through trusted client partnerships and strategic account expansion
  • Demonstrated track record of winning new business β€” lead generation, pipeline development, pitching, and closing β€” in a B2B context
  • Experience scoping, estimating, and leading technical projects β€” particularly websites and digital platforms β€” with enough subject matter knowledge to keep teams and budgets on track
  • AI fluency in practice, not theory. You actively use AI tools in your daily work β€” research, writing, analysis, proposal development, client insight β€” and you can coach a team to do the same. You understand what today's tools can and can't do, and you're paying attention to where they're headed.
  • Genuine commitment to team development β€” you like coaching, you give real feedback, and you take pride in watching people on your team grow
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with operational discipline β€” able to see the big picture while staying on top of the details
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with clients and with internal teams
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset β€” you see problems coming and address them early
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
