Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive annual giving program under $25,000, driving donor acquisition, retention, upgrades, and affinity fundraising.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the VHC Health Marketing department for development-related communications and digital fundraising initiatives.
  • Direct accountability for annual philanthropic revenue, donor pipeline growth, and systemwide employee giving.
  • Over time, build and manage staff supporting annual giving and development communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 7 years progressive fundraising experience with demonstrated annual giving results
  • Proven experience managing multi-channel direct response fundraising and digital engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with marketing, communications, and stewardship functions
  • Strong planning, analytical, and segmentation skills; data-informed decision making required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Advanced degree or fundraising certification preferred
  • Healthcare or hospital foundation experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with planned giving vehicles and donor pipeline development
