Job Description
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive annual giving program under $25,000, driving donor acquisition, retention, upgrades, and affinity fundraising.
- Serve as the primary liaison to the VHC Health Marketing department for development-related communications and digital fundraising initiatives.
- Direct accountability for annual philanthropic revenue, donor pipeline growth, and systemwide employee giving.
- Over time, build and manage staff supporting annual giving and development communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 7 years progressive fundraising experience with demonstrated annual giving results
- Proven experience managing multi-channel direct response fundraising and digital engagement
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with marketing, communications, and stewardship functions
- Strong planning, analytical, and segmentation skills; data-informed decision making required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Advanced degree or fundraising certification preferred
- Healthcare or hospital foundation experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with planned giving vehicles and donor pipeline development
