The Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive sustainable margin expansion and profitable growth, align with business unit objectives, and reflect evolving market and competitive conditions. This role will provide analytical support, ensure pricing decisions are data-driven, and work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize pricing and margin opportunities across product lines and channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Pricing Development:

  • Develop and recommend price structures, tactics, and product line pricing objectives for new and existing products.
  • Leverage segmentation and value-based models to establish competitive, profit-maximizing pricing strategies.
  • Create and maintain global price and margin guidelines, including book pricing, OEM volume break pricing, distributor volume pricing, and pricing bands.
  • Support portfolio-level pricing strategy by identifying margin leakage, pricing inconsistencies, and whitespace opportunities across product families and channels.

Market and Competitive Analysis:

  • Analyze market insights, competitive benchmarks, and reference valuations to refine pricing strategies and support clear go‑to‑market recommendations.
  • Assess the profitability and commercial impact of channel transactional pricing decisions.
  • Monitor and recommend adjustments to discount and column structures to align with market dynamics.

Pricing Execution and Evaluation:

  • Evaluate special pricing requests (SPRs) and requests for quotes (RFQs) for profitability and strategic fit.
  • Partner with product management to analyze lifecycle adjustments, segmentation, cost inflation, and price changes.
  • Conduct margin and pricing analyses to support business unit initiatives and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Operate within defined pricing authority levels, making recommendations and approvals as appropriate, with clear escalation paths to Product Management and executive leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product management, engineering, and sales teams to drive shared ownership of pricing excellence.
  • Provide guidance and support to operational and agreement pricing teams for global product lines.
  • Assist in developing tools and reports to improve pricing decisions and ensure compliance with pricing policies.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Recommend and implement bi-annual price book adjustments and run optimization scenarios to refine published pricing.
  • Apply continuous improvement principles to streamline pricing processes and financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with plant finance and engineering to ensure the accuracy of standard costs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, product management, or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with global pricing strategies and advanced pricing tools/software.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with margin analysis, competitive benchmarking, and value-based pricing.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams globally.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for conveying findings to key stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a matrixed, global organization with multiple ERPs, regions, and customer segments.

The expected salary for this position is between $76,303.00 and $102,627.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
