  • Social publishing: Plan and publish across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube with travel to MA programs.
  • Performance insights: Use engagement metrics to guide future content and storytelling priorities.

Job Description

Own content creation and distribution for May Institute, turning field stories into engaging content across social, campaigns, and recruitment efforts; emphasize storytelling, calendar ownership, travel, and performance.

  • Create compelling content: Capture photos, videos, interviews, and stories that showcase the people, programs, and mission of May Institute.
  • Manage social media channels: Plan, create, and publish content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Bring ideas to life: Write engaging copy, design graphics, edit videos, and create content for digital campaigns, email communications, and recruitment marketing efforts.
  • Own the content calendar: Help plan and organize content around organizational priorities, events, milestones, and storytelling opportunities.
  • Travel throughout Massachusetts: Visit programs and events to capture authentic content that reflects the impact of our work.
  • Measure and improve performance: Monitor engagement and analytics to identify what resonates with audiences and strengthen future content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree i n Marketing, Communications , Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in content creation, social media management, or digital marketing
  • Strong writing, photography, videography, and visual storytelling skills
  • Experience creating content for social media and digital platforms
  • Graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools
  • Highly organized , self-directed , and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel to May Institute locations throughout Massachusetts
  • Portfolio Required: Applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing examples of photography, video production, social media content, graphic design, and/or other creative work.

Preferred

  • Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, education, or human services marketing
  • Experience with social media analytics and digital marketing metrics
  • Familiarity with autism services, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, or special education
