Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Social Media & Content Creation
  • Create and publish engaging daily content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
  • Share success stories, adoptable animals, events, and fundraising campaigns
  • Capture and edit photos/videos of animals (training provided)
  • Manage and adapt a strategic content calendar in a fast-paced environment
  • Use Sprout Social analytics to refine strategy and grow engagement
  • Strengthen brand voice and expand HSPPR's digital reach
  • Website Management
  • Maintain and enhance HSPPR's website using WordPress
  • Troubleshoot issues, update content, and ensure design consistency
  • Use Google Analytics and SEO best practices to drive performance
  • Collaboration & Outreach
  • Partner with the Philanthropy team to share impactful stories and visuals
  • Support email campaigns and digital communications
  • Manage digital display content throughout shelter facilities
  • Participate in signature events: Fur Ball, Pawtoberfest, and Whisker Brunch

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience managing social media and websites
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating content creation (required)
  • Proficiency with WordPress, Google Analytics, and SEO strategies
  • Experience with Sprout Social or similar tools
  • Strong photography/video skills (animal experience a plus!)
