Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Chief Development Officer to create and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
  • Develop compelling donor-centric appeals and targeted campaigns for email, direct mail, and social media.
  • Manage phone-a-thons and peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns. Serve as lead professional on annual Hillel Global Giving Week campaign.
  • Oversee donor stewardship initiatives, including impact reports.
  • Work with the Development Department to plan and execute the annual fundraising gala.
  • Provide support for fundraising and parent/alumni events, such as parlor meetings and donor appreciation gatherings.
  • Assist in tracking grant deliverables.
  • Create and share donor impact stories through various communication channels.
  • Design and execute a robust marketing and communications strategy for Hillels of Georgia and affiliated campus Hillels.
  • Provide marketing and development direction and resources (scripts, posts, talking points, etc.) to campus professionals and the Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, fundraising, or nonprofit development.
  • Knowledge of Jewish culture and tradition with a commitment to Hillel’s mission and values. Experience in Jewish communal service preferred.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, and CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in Canva; experience with Constant Contact and Wix preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
