Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create touch points for the Executive Director and other development team members. Set goals for the number of touch points annually and ensure they are met.
  • Assist in developing a stewardship plan of Gathering for Women’s major donor portfolio, ensuring donors experience high-quality interactions that foster long-term engagement and investment.
  • Support with conveying the impact of gifts and ensure that donors are kept up to date on key developments in Gathering for Women’s campaigns and priorities.
  • Assist with developing an active pipeline of major donors by working closely with the Executive Director, staff and consultants to identify prospects based on giving history.
  • Strengthen strategies to identify and recruit new potential individual donors.
  • Assist with writing solicitation letters, proposals, donor recognition pieces for publications, newsletters, and other materials as needed.
  • Liaise with other fundraising staff, interns, and consultants.
  • Support annual giving campaigns, individual donor drives, and strategic fundraising initiatives.
  • Coordinate appeal letter production and mailing.
  • Maintain an accurate donor database including foundations, corporations, and individual donor files (and on the server).

Requirements

  • Proficiency in database management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent keyboard skills and fluency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Gmail.
  • Exemplary and compassionate customer service skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, time and project management skills.
  • Strong reasoning, analytic thinking and critical thinking skills and experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Multi-tasking skills; flexibility.
