Development Administrator
Department: Music/Lied Center, KU Athletics, KU Alumni Association
Reports to: Development Professional, School of Journalism
FLSA Status: Non - Exempt
The anticipated salary for this position starts at $43,400+ for the Development Assistant role and ranges up to $57,800+ for the Sr. Development Administrator role. The final pay will be determined based on several factors, including qualifications, experience, education, and years within the job or industry, with a strong emphasis on maintaining internal equity.
This position is a full-time employee of the Kansas University Endowment Association. Employment decisions, performance management, compensation, and professional development are administered solely by KU Endowment.

What we are looking for:
The development administrative support position provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to multiple KU Endowment fundraising staff members and constituencies within the development department. The role serves as a liaison to dean’s offices and other key leaders in identified constituencies, as well as to leadership in affiliated organizations, supporting effective communication and coordination between campus partners and KU Endowment.
Regular responsibilities include answering fund usage questions from department chairs and directors; preparing and executing development team and campus informational requests; creating new pledges and new fund agreement documentation; preparing donor correspondence; maintaining campus and donor files; coordinating calendars and meetings; arranging travel; and processing expense and reimbursement reports. The position follows KU Endowment policies and procedures and handles sensitive and confidential information in accordance with KU Endowment’s privacy guidelines.
This position provides administrative support to KU Endowment fundraising staff serving the School of Journalism, the School of Music, and the Lied Center. In addition, the role provides limited administrative support to KU Endowment–employed development staff whose fundraising portfolios include KU Athletics and the KU Alumni Association. This support is restricted to KU Endowment fundraising activities only and does not include administrative support for the operational or internal business functions of KU Athletics or the KU Alumni Association.

Hybrid Work Environment:
Following the initial training period, this position offers a hybrid work schedule, with the flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. However, the role requires multiple days per week on-site at our Lawrence, KS office to ensure effective collaboration, team engagement, and alignment with organizational goals.
