Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a high-autonomy Performance Creative Strategist to run the creative engine that powers Rare Carat’s growth. The ideal candidate brings deep experience producing ads and leading creative strategy for high-growth, direct-to-consumer brands. You pair sharp creative instincts with a data-driven mindset, translating insights into concepts that scale without sacrificing taste. This is a "Player-Coach" role: you will lead the strategy, direct influencers, and get your hands dirty scripting and concepting ads that break through the noise. Your mission is to turn our jewelry into scroll-stopping content that converts at scale. This role will also guide the work of two other junior designers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce new winning creative concepts.
  • Develop and lead creative concepts for ongoing marketing campaigns across Meta and TikTok to drive customer acquisition efficiently.
  • Create high-performing scripts, hooks, and headlines. You understand the difference between a "brand story" and a direct-response "hook" that stops the scroll in the first 3 seconds.
  • Partner with the Paid Marketing team to analyze creative performance, turning data into actionable testing roadmaps to identify top-performing messages, visuals, and formats.
  • Own the process of iterating on winning creatives, finding ways to refresh, remix, and expand on successful concepts to maximize their ROI.
  • Identify high-potential micro-creators and influencers, craft and refine briefs for UGC video content, and direct them to produce authentic, high-converting content.
  • Works with AI and GenAI tools for creative ideation and production to increase our testing velocity.
  • Lead the weekly "Creative Review" meeting. You will present a breakdown of creative metrics (Thumb-Stop Ratio, Hold Rate, Click-Through Rate, Conversion Rate) and propose the “Next Step” hypotheses based on the findings.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in advertising and marketing, and implement relevant insights.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in design, creative strategy, and marketing, ideally within direct-to-consumer e-commerce.
  • Proven experience developing and executing creative strategies that drive measurable performance and growth.
  • Understanding of performance marketing and how ad creative impacts conversions and marketing efficiency.
  • Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to understand basic performance marketing data and key business drivers.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
