Job Summary

Drive on-site content creation and social management for a NYC-based community program, combining event coverage, short-form video, and photo packaging.

  • Attend events in NYC and produce recap/video footage for social
  • Must-have: first-gen or community-focused understanding of For The Firsts
  • Part-time, hands-on role with iPhone video, CapCut editing, and social posting

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Attend 2 For The Firsts events/month: our meetups and more bespoke experiences
  • Capture vertical video on iPhone, from candid moments and attendee interviews
  • Post and manage the social accounts for For The Firsts on IG and TikTok
  • 2 short-form videos per event (4/month): low-lift edits pulled from what you captured that night. Think recaps, vibey b-roll with text on screen, and BTS moments
  • 1 photo carousel per event (2/month): built from the event photography we already have. You’re not taking these, you’re curating and packaging them with context and captions
  • Instagram and TikTok posting and management: scheduling, captions, hashtags, and engagement
  • Keep the Google Drive organized with footage from every event
  • Build and maintain a content delivery calendar — what’s been shot, what’s posted, what’s coming next

Requirements

  • You’re a first-gen professional, or someone who genuinely gets why this community exists
  • You’re comfortable showing up to events in NYC and capturing content in the room
  • You’re skilled with iPhone video, CapCut or similar tools, Notion, and the major social platforms

Preferred

  • Photography or videography experience
  • Experience with community-building or events
