Job Summary

Support external and internal communications plus events for a campus food-systems center, with grant work and a fall annual report push as key anchors.

  • External & Internal Communications: newsletters, social posts, annual report prep, and staff meetings.
  • Events & Programs: regional food business event planning and food system activities with safety certifications.
  • Grants & Evaluation: monitoring and evaluating project metrics and reporting.

Job Description

  • Assist in general external communication efforts for the Center by crafting newsletters, social media posts, and preparing and posting other communications efforts including the creation, printing, promotion, and dissemination of our Annual Report in the fall of 2026.
  • Assist in internal communications efforts by planning and hosting monthly CRAFT all staff meetings.
  • Work with the team to plan and execute a regional value added food business event and other food-system events including food safety certification in the fall of 2026.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation tasks for various grants and projects.
  • Ability to self-manage time, self-start, and work independently on a time-sensitive project.
  • Comfort in data gathering, academic research and class or resource development.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of small business ownership, value added product creation, curriculum creation, and/or graphic design.
  • Food systems, non-profit, or similar work
  • Canva, Google Workspace, Teachable, or other design and collaboration platforms.
