Job Summary

Drive county marketing and communications as an unpaid internship, creating materials and managing social media.

  • Own the creation of marketing materials and social media content.
  • Must-have: Current student in public/business admin or related field and able to pass a background check.
  • Standout: Flexible schedule including weekends and after-hours events.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create marketing and communications materials including but not limited to fliers, press releases, social media posts, website posts, etc.
  • Assist with planning details of special events;
  • Assist in raising awareness of the County’s services and program;
  • Assist with building a following on all major social media channels using organic and paid advertising;
  • Develop and execute social media campaigns. Research, analyze, and suggest new solutions which will help reach our goals;
  • Other assignments as needed;

Requirements

  • Current student preferably in public or business administration or closely related field.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Type 35 w.p.m. depending on area assigned.
  • May be required to be bilingual English/Spanish.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including attendance at various events weekends and after hours.
