Job Summary

Own the craft and storytelling for pharma brand communications, translating complex clinical data into compelling, compliant narratives for both healthcare professionals and patients, while guiding the creative process across brand teams and client engagements.

Creative Leadership: drive daily creative execution, mentor juniors, and review work across brands to ensure consistency and impact.
Storytelling & Compliance: translate disease state and trial data into engaging short and long-form content with clear client direction and regulatory alignment.
Collaborative Growth: partner with editors, PMs, art, and account teams to present ideas, support new business, and raise the bar on creative excellence.

Job Description

Responsible for the daily creative execution of projects across brands/portfolio including writing, adapting from core materials, reviewing projects, incorporating comments, referencing and annotating
Resident expert about the brand, disease state, clinical trials and data, and competitive products
Show relentless devotion to writing craft, and creative excellence on projects big and small
Be an expert storyteller, creating engaging narratives for both short and long-form communications
Deep expertise in HCP-directed copy for high-science pharma brands, as well as engaging patient/consumer content
Display expert knowledge about the brand, disease state, clinical trials and data, and competitive products
Present creative work and ideas with art partner to clients
Attend MLR meetings, noting direction and application of changes to other pieces
Attend appropriate client meetings, market research, workshops and begin to engage in dialogue with supervisor, team, and client about key insights
Support new business efforts in addition to managing day to day brand needs

Generates new creative concepts with art partner and presents to clients
Strive to bring creative solutions and new ideas to the brand
Works collaboratively with all cross-functional team members including Editing, Project Management, Art, and Account Management
Begin supervising direct report(s) by overseeing workload, creative output, providing regular feedback, and aiding in career development
Proactively research new data and studies for your assigned brand’s use and expand your knowledge of industry trends so you can share new ideas with your team
Attend market research and workshops, as appropriate

5+ years of pharmaceutical copy supervisory experience within a fast-paced agency setting
Pharmaceutical and/or healthcare copywriting experience is a must
A compelling portfolio included with your application
Previous leadership experience
Solid presentations skills
Proven ability to engage in creative conversations internally and with clients
Motivated to seek/gain additional creative opportunities and/or work on new business pitches
Proactive about expanding knowledge of trends so you can share new ideas with your team
Autonomous, yet you know when and how to raise questions or issues to your manager
Interest and experience integrating AI tools in to workflows
