Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own and write the daily email newsletter —curate and create engaging short-form content featuring the best events, experiences, and promotions.
  • Grow and manage the newsletter list —optimize for engagement through testing, performance metrics, and best practices.
  • Maintain editorial consistency and tone across platforms —ensuring quality and brand alignment.
  • Build and manage a network of contributors to cover niche and mainstream cultural content (music, food, arts, etc.).
  • Execute and project-manage paid digital campaigns —aligning with sales and accounts teams to deliver high-performing content.
  • Write and oversee campaign copy (email, web, social) that reflects both client goals and DoStuff’s tone.
  • Manage campaign timelines, track assets, and coordinate cross-functional tasks between internal teams and clients.
  • Monitor campaign performance, generate post-campaign reports, and ensure renewal opportunities are captured.
  • Maintain a high-quality website —Curate and manage local event listings, venue and artist pages on our website.
  • Ensure timely, relevant, and accurate content across all of our channels (website, email, social)

Requirements

  • A natural storyteller and editor —crafting compelling short-form content with clarity and voice.
  • Obsessed with newsletters, digital culture, and local events.
  • Organized and proactive —adept at managing timelines, stakeholders, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A confident communicator —can synthesize information quickly and relay it with clarity (via email, Slack, phone).
  • Knowledgeable about your city’s event landscape —venues, festivals, nightlife, and more.

Preferred

  • Use Do215 regularly or have worked in the music/entertainment industry.
  • Have experience growing newsletter audiences or managing digital campaigns.
  • Are active on social media or have a portfolio of editorial work.
  • Have knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, or email performance optimization.
