Drive high-volume long-form content production and client-facing storytelling for a SaaS-focused PR agency as a Content Specialist on client teams.

  • Own or produce 14-16 high-quality long-form pieces per month and related materials.
  • Must-have: 2–3 years of PR writing, content marketing, or journalism experience.
  • Standout: Direct client collaboration with story-mining oversight and content edits.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce 14-16 high-quality, long-form content deliverables (bylines primarily, along with blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, media Q&As and more, as needed) on average per month at agency pace.
  • In addition to long-form content, content specialists may be responsible for creating quotes, LinkedIn posts, story-mining call agendas, etc.
  • Communicate directly with clients by leading content-specific calls, following up on approvals, developing and leading story-mining sessions and working through content edits and ideas.
  • Communicate with other account team members to determine achievable deadlines and available resources for each piece.
  • Assist marketing team with thought leadership for internal agency needs.
  • Edit and QC content team and PR team content as needed
  • Contribute to content workflow and process improvement discussions.
  • Offer feedback and ideas to the PR team about pitching initiatives, storylines and plan angles.
  • Understand clients’ technology and business.
  • Understand the SaaS industry, traditional company milestones and how PR fits into company strategy.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of prior work experience in PR writing, content marketing or journalism
  • Understanding of the PR process and the news media
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a command of grammar and AP style
  • A passion for storytelling and asking questions
  • The ability to meet deadlines

Preferred

  • Experience working at or on behalf of a SaaS or other B2B technology brand
  • Experience ghostwriting on behalf of executives
  • Agency experience
