Drive public health communications and donor-facing content as a mid-level writer supporting strategic storytelling and multi-channel campaigns.

  • Own multi-channel communications, including annual reports, newsletters, website copy, and social content.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and finalize copy for all print and digital communications
  • Incorporate technical feedback and ensure accuracy and clarity
  • Maintain consistent messaging across platforms and products
  • Review printed materials and envelopes prior to mailing
  • Develop and post social media content (estimated one post per week) across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram (with potential expansion to X)
  • Review, update, and help implement automated email journeys for four key audience personas
  • Support the Director in building and maintaining a curated story library (minimum 10 stories in 2026)
  • Support communications for faith-based outreach and volunteer engagement programs
  • Deliverables include: Annual Impact Report; Monthly e-newsletters; Website copy updates; Two printed newsletters; Postcards and short-form campaign pieces; Social media content and campaign execution; Development and curation of content library and calendar of themes; Other TBD

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of mid-level professional writing experience in public health, report writing, documentation and investment case development
  • Experience in copy-editing, fact-checking and policy analysis, particularly in public health
  • Knowledge of results-based management and results oriented approach to project implementation
  • Knowledge of Country programming principles, INGOs and NGO networks, and strong knowledge of partnership principles in development work
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Use of AI is permitted but must be disclosed and monitored

Preferred

  • Nonprofit exposure preferred
  • Experience with donor communications and storytelling
  • Familiarity with IGHA programs as an asset
  • Advanced degree in Public Health, International Development, Communications, or related field (preferred if not required)
