Responsibilities

• Attend and represent the practice at community events like church services/fellowships, bingo at senior centers (e.g., Las Palmas, Palm View), health fairs, picnics, parish groups, etc.
• Build authentic relationships with church leaders, senior center staff, residents, and organizations—emphasizing education and trust, not sales.
• Offer value at events (e.g., free blood pressure/glucose checks, short talks on health topics, share practice info ethically).
• Spot partnership opportunities with local groups to boost visibility and referrals.
• Track activities and leads (e.g., note sources for new patients).
• Follow up on warm contacts (calls/emails/texts) with health info or appointment invites—always HIPAA-compliant.
• Work with the team to share community feedback and support growth.
• Help network in nearby areas for future location planning.

Requirements

• Bilingual (fluent Spanish and English) – required for our community
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Flexible availability (some evenings/weekends for events)
• Organized and self-motivated with basic computer skills
• Passion for health education—no medical background needed; training provided
• Culturally attuned to the Hispanic/Latino community in the RGV

Preferred

• Experience in outreach, community work, church/volunteer activities, relationship-based roles, or events preferred.
• Outgoing, warm, and people-oriented—enjoys meeting folks and earning trust.
