Responsibilities

• Internal Communications: Help develop and implement an internal communications strategy that helps unify and ensure our employees are engaged and stay connected to the company and with each other as we grow.
• Work cross-functionally with the company's shared services and individual business units to develop messaging/content supporting company initiatives.
• Create content for the monthly company newsletter, news flashes and informational screens located at all facilities, and general employee announcements.
• Turn complex ideas into simple and compelling communications, including succinct talking points and clear communications for leaders.
• Analyze current internal communications processes and make recommendations for improvements.
• Work with the HR department on the internal posting process for internal vacancies.
• Support Executive Committee/CEO with one-off communications projects and pieces of work.
• Conduct and report on employee surveys and respond to employee questions.
• Manage and direct the company’s intranet presence.
• Help plan and coordinate internal events including annual meetings and quarterly town halls.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree required – preferable in Communications/Media/Journalism
• 3-5 years' experience in a communications role
• Ability to travel as necessary, up to 10%
• Available on-call 24/7 during periods when the Director of Marketing and Communications is unavailable to handle crisis communications
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• Significant experience with social media for workplace internal communications
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

• Experience in video production or content creation (even basic editing or scripting)
• Adobe Creative Cloud experience
• Survey Monkey experience
• Experience with crisis communications and media outreach
