Job Summary

Own the community communications stream by turning technical project details into accessible content, leading public engagement, and coordinating cross‑department messaging to inform residents and align with county branding.

  • Content Engine: Translate engineering and planning work into clear materials across channels.
  • Engagement & Meetings: Lead public meetings, collect feedback, and present to diverse audiences.
  • Cross‑Department Collaboration: Align messaging with brand standards while coordinating with leaders, SMEs, and Public Affairs.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Translate technical information from engineering and planning projects into clear, engaging content for community members.
  • Lead public meetings, gather feedback, and deliver effective presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with department leaders, subject matter experts, and Public Affairs to align messaging with Larimer County’s voice and brand standards.
  • Develop content and share information through multiple channels to help departments engage with the community.
  • Coordinate logistics, manage meeting agendas, plan events and outreach activities, and keep projects on track.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience with design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility and around the community as needed and required.
