Responsibilities

• Assisting with the creation and implementation of marketing and communications content including writing press releases, ad copy, and articles;
• Drafting, posting, and monitoring social media content;
• Providing photography and video support at events;
• Creating and posting calendar/event listings for season performances and events;
• Assisting with media relations including crafting story pitches, greeting editors and critics, and coordinating interviews and photo shoots;
• Assisting with website updates;
• Assisting with brand stewardship, including ensuring all materials are using consistent colors, fonts, style, and messaging;
• Creating new contact lists to promote various programs;
• Assisting with ad placement;
• Participating in I.D.E.A. training;

Requirements

• Strong writing and proof-reading skills
• Experience with social media content creation and/or management
• Familiarity with Wordpress
• Familiarity with email marketing systems / CRMs such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact
• The ability to learn and apply new skills quickly
• Photography and/or videography skills
• Organization skills, particularly in the areas of tracking media mentions, ad placements, calendar listings, and results from various promotions
• A demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
• Familiarity with project management software such as Trello, Asana, or Basecamp is a plus
