Job Summary

Own brand governance and production workflow for campus communications, from templates and guidelines to print and multimedia coordination.

  • Brand governance: ensure typography, templates, and brand usage across departments and channels.
  • Production & assets: coordinate print specs, photo/video services, and asset delivery with the Print Shop and Multimedia Center.
  • Operational alignment: work with procurement and vendor processes to keep projects on time and within spec.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design and publication projects to support consistency with the College’s brand identity, design standards, and strategic communications goals.
  • Assists with maintaining and promoting College branding standards by proving guidance on brand guidelines to all departments; create and maintain standardized templates for official communications and materials; and monitor and supporting departments in the appropriate use of branding resources.
  • Coordinates communication, and implementation of departmental activities.
  • Coordinates photography and image development activities, including directing edits and ensuring assets meet project and branding requirements.
  • Reviews project needs and makes professional recommendations regarding paper stock, formats, and production methods.
  • Prepares print specifications in support of institutional procurement and competitive bidding processes.
  • Collaborates with the College’s Purchasing Office to facilitate and support printing bids and related procurement activities.
  • Serves as the primary departmental liaison with the College’s Print Shop, overseeing timelines, quality standards, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinates with the College’s Multimedia Center to oversee photography and video services, ensuring multimedia assets align with institutional communications initiatives.
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in art, design, or related field), with a wide-ranging portfolio of work.
  • Strong knowledge of typography as well as applications including Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop (Mac platform).
  • Knowledge of web-based design, including work with html templates.
  • Proven ability to work on multiple tasks under tight deadlines and to work both independently and as part of a creative team in a collegial atmosphere.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including proofreading, grammatical usage, and spelling.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of photography and videography a plus.
