Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of communications professionals, including a Communications Manager, Marketing and Brand Manager, Communications Specialist, and part time Social Media Specialist
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, and high performance within the team
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Communications Plan that aligns with Town goals and strengthens community engagement
  • Serve as the primary Public Information Officer and maintain strong media relationships
  • Manage partnerships and contractual relationships with external organizations, including the Destination Marketing Organization
  • Oversee the development of press releases, social media content, and other key communications materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of relevant experience, including senior level leadership experience
  • Strategic thinkers with a strong understanding of media, public relations, and community engagement
  • Proven leaders with the ability to effectively manage, coach, and elevate team performance
  • Professionals who thrive in a fast paced environment and can adapt quickly to shifting priorities and emerging needs
  • Individuals who exercise sound judgment and can pivot direction while maintaining focus on organizational goals
  • Excellent communicators who can clearly and effectively convey information to a wide range of audiences
