Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Transform grantee overviews, concept notes, and technical documents into donor-facing communications materials. Materials may include:
  • Grantee concept notes
  • Grantee case studies
  • Two-pagers on reproductive health topics, such as maternal health, gender-based violence, and contraception
  • Two-pagers on issues related to reproductive health, including climate, democracy, economies, and education
  • Learning materials for virtual and in-person donor meetings, including questions for expert fireside chats, pre-reading materials, and more.
  • Website blog posts, press releases, and other digital content, such as LinkedIn posts
  • Talking points and panel questions for events
  • Develop and manage Prysm’s editorial calendar, working across the team to identify upcoming content needs, set priorities and deadlines, and ensure a consistent pipeline of high-quality communications.
  • Manage communications projects from concept through completion, coordinating inputs from internal teams, external experts, grantees, and other partners as needed.

Requirements

  • +7 years of professional writing or communications experience, ideally with a social impact focus
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • A demonstrated ability to synthesize and distill complex information into clear, engaging communications for a donor audience
  • Ability to maintain nuance and rigor while writing in an accessible style
  • Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
  • Superb project management skills, including comfort working independently and managing multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration and organization skills

Preferred

  • Experience with global health, reproductive health, gender equity, international development, or philanthropy is strongly preferred.
