Job Summary
Working with the Global Brain Care Coalition and reporting to the Center Director, the Communications Manager will lead and implement communications strategy development, programs and related programmatic functionality and service levels. Will oversee and engage in managing communications standards, quality assurance and metrics programs. Serving as a collaborative leader, will define and execute effective relationship management (internal and external) to support program needs. Will lead teams and/or direct reports as well as contribute in producing well-crafted, authentic and powerful storytelling, documentation, materials and publications. Will work in a variety of mediums and ensure consistent message across platforms. Will bridge cutting-edge neuroscience and global public initiatives designed to identify, engage and support brain care programs. The Communications Manager will not only understand science programs, but can translate research into compelling, visually driven narratives that reach millions.Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree Communication Studies preferred or Bachelor's Degree Journalism preferred or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required.

Experience
Experience working in communications in health care or science field, 5-7 years required. Management experience, 1-2 years preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Superior written, editorial, oral communication and computer skills.
- Proven management ability in employee communications, content development, writing and editing, web development, digital signage development, and publication production.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent management and organizational skills with attention to detail and demonstrated ability in managing staff and multiple projects simultaneously while working effectively under the pressure of last minute deadlines and changing priorities.
- Takes initiative and functions effectively, both independently and as a member of a team, with a willingness to assist with routine and last minute projects.
- Exceptional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential issues.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
