Job Summary

Own and run company events end to end while shaping the annual editorial event calendar with leadership, coordinate external and internal engagement initiatives, and manage brand collateral and content packaging to support the communications strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all company events end to end, including logistics, budget, vendors, run-of-show, talent prep, measurement, and post-event follow-up. Track attendance, event success rate, and vendor performance to inform future planning.
  • Work alongside internal communication lead and senior leadership to develop the annual editorial event schedule supporting employee engagement, including All Hands, Lunch & Learns, and teambuilding and training events.
  • Work alongside business units to define, plan and execute marketing, charitable, and recruiting events that support external communication strategies and help achieve company goals.
  • Own the strategy for all company collateral and swag. Develop an annual vendor-spend strategy for all branded collateral that supports internal and external business objectives and timelines. This includes understanding business needs, researching and developing creative solutions, and serving as the executor and ongoing manager (and protector) of the company brand and associated materials.
  • Dedicate approximately 30% of the role to supporting the department in the collection and packaging of content to execute the communications strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Demonstrated success managing third party relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets and timelines with precision.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet firm, non-negotiable deadlines.
  • Basic ability to use Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple events and numerous moving parts simultaneously without error.
  • Strong problem-solving and improvisation abilities, including contingency planning and real-time decision-making.
  • Proven ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, maintaining a steady presence when challenges arise.
  • Skilled in negotiation and budget management, including rate negotiation and cost control.

Preferred

  • Established network of reliable vendors and industry contacts (or demonstrated ability to build and maintain such relationships).
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Baseline experience with web and video.
