Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute Allies' signature fundraising and appreciation events, including Illuminate, Do Good Derby, Everyday Generosity, and other special events.
  • Manage all event logistics, including venue and vendor coordination, timelines, budgets, registration, communications, and day-of execution.
  • Serve as the primary contact for vendors, sponsors, event committees, and volunteers involved in events.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Operations & Development to develop sponsorship opportunities and ensure sponsor recognition.
  • Coordinate invitations, event marketing materials, and post-event communications.
  • Evaluate event success and recommend improvements for future events.
  • Represent Allies as a visible, professional, and passionate ambassador within the community.
  • Attend networking events, community meetings, speaking engagements, and partner events to increase awareness of Allies and its mission.
  • Build meaningful relationships with businesses, churches, civic organizations, and community leaders that support organizational growth.
  • Recruit new donors, mentors, volunteers, and community supporters through networking and relationship-building.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in event planning, communications, marketing, nonprofit development, or community engagement.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating compelling marketing and communication materials.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and digital communications preferred.
  • Comfortable networking, public speaking, and representing the organization in community settings.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop new ideas for community engagement and storytelling.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with diverse audiences.
  • Alignment with Allies' Core Values and mission, leading with a Christian worldview.
