Job Summary

Own parish communications by delivering consistent content across social, website, newsletters, and bulletins while coordinating with pastors and ministries to drive engagement and events.

  • Content & Channel Ownership: manage social, website, weekly newsletter, bulletin content, and event promos with a consistent tone and visuals.
  • Coordination & Outreach: align messaging with pastor, parish staff, and ministries to engage groups and publicize events.
  • Production & Training: create weekly bulletins, Spirit newsletter, slides for displays, and train staff on Realm and media tools.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage content on social media, website, weekly newsletter, and bulletins to ensure an accurate, creative, and consistent tone, look, and delivery.
  • Coordinate with the pastor, parish staff, and parish ministries to engage various church groups and publicize events.
  • Weekly creation of bulletin content for bulletin editor using Canva and similar software.
  • Production of Easter and Christmas publications
  • Weekly production of the Spirit weekly E-Newsletter.
  • Weekly production of content and scheduling of Parish social media
  • Weekly updating of parish website
  • Weekly production of slides for TV displays in the church
  • Training staff, volunteers, and parishioners on parish Realm Software
  • Provide media and web Support for parish groups

Requirements

  • Canva Pro graphic design
  • Web design and maintenance
  • Ability to learn Realm by ACS
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Constant Contact
  • Social media experience (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Personal philosophy, values, and lifestyle consistent with leadership in Catholic parishes
  • Virtus training
  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hiring
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Up to 20 hours per week
