Job Summary

Support digital communications and educational media content creation, drafting website content, and social media engagement for UMFPI.

  • Own or assist with recording and editing educational video content.
  • Must-have: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field.
  • CMS familiarity and social media experience to support outreach efforts.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the department’s digital communications, educational media, and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with recording and editing educational video content.
  • Draft website content.
  • Support social media marketing and engagement efforts.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to produce clear, engaging content that supports educational and outreach initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Business or a related field is required
  • Previous internship, academic, or volunteer experience in digital media, communications, or marketing preferred
  • Basic knowledge of video recording and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, iMovie, DaVinci Resolve, or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing practices
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to draft clear, concise content
  • Basic understanding of website content management systems (CMS) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice To Have

  • Previous internship, academic, or volunteer experience in digital media, communications, or marketing preferred
  • Familiarity with CMS (content management systems) preferred
  • Basic knowledge of video recording and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, iMovie, DaVinci Resolve, or similar platforms) preferred
