Drive editorial, communications, and event support for PFIFC as a nonprofit association coordinator, delivering member updates, board reports, and multichannel messaging.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide editorial and communications support for committee work products
  • Prepare weekly leadership updates summarizing committee activities
  • Develop monthly communications reports for the Board of Directors
  • Prepare monthly committee updates for franchisee members
  • Develop newsletters, announcements, and member communications
  • Support membership recruitment and retention communications
  • Assist with agenda development and materials for virtual town hall meetings
  • Manage distribution of all email communications using Constant Contact
  • Support production of PFIFC’s quarterly print publication, including story planning, content sourcing, writing and editing articles, and coordinating production deadlines
  • Develop marketing emails and print materials for PFIFC’s annual convention

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field
  • 1–3 years of communications, marketing, journalism, or related experience (internships and relevant coursework may be considered)
  • Strong writing and editing skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other design tools

Preferred

  • Knowledge of AP Style
  • Experience working with nonprofit boards, committees, or membership organizations
  • Experience supporting association events or conferences
  • Familiarity with franchise or fitness industries
