Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day social media activity across the regional office's platforms, including scheduling, posting, and monitoring engagement.
  • Create and coordinate content, including graphics, short-form copy, and member spotlights, for use across social media, email, and web.
  • Coordinate the solicitation, collection, and organization of member-submitted content for use in chapter communications.
  • Assist with the creation, formatting, and distribution of member emails and e-newsletters.
  • Support the Director of Marketing and Communications on broader communications projects across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri.
  • Maintain and update the regional office's social media profiles across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others as adopted).
  • Build and maintain a content calendar spanning all three chapters, balancing statewide and chapter-specific priorities.
  • Draft, design, and schedule social media posts, including graphics and short video, using tools such as Canva
  • Monitor social channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and route member questions to the appropriate staff.
  • Track engagement metrics and prepare periodic summaries for the Director of Marketing and Communications.

Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing social media accounts or creating content for an organization, nonprofit experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of social media scheduling tools.
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar).
  • Comfort working with website content management systems.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to a consistent organizational voice.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate content across three states and multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • This position is remote but applicant must reside in one of the three chapter states and may require occasional travel within Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri for chapter events and conferences.
