Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the Museum website, ensuring content is current, accurate, and aligned with institutional standards.
  • Coordinate website updates for exhibitions, public programs, collections, events, and institutional initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners on content management system (CMS) projects and enhancements.
  • Conduct routine quality assurance reviews of digital content.
  • Manage and update the Museum’s Bloomberg Connects guide and external organizational profiles.
  • Submit Museum events and programs to community calendars and promotional listings.
  • Develop, schedule, and publish social media content in collaboration with the Mirken Fellow and Museum staff.
  • Coordinate the collection of content, photography, and digital assets across Museum departments.
  • Monitor audience engagement and respond or escalate inquiries as appropriate.
  • Manage paid social media promotions within established budgets.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Graphic Design, Art History, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of professional experience supporting communications, marketing, public relations, or digital content management.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and editing content for multiple communications channels.
  • Experience coordinating projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in a museum, higher education, nonprofit, or arts environment.
  • Experience with CMS platforms, email marketing software, social media management tools, and communications analytics.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Excellent written, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
