Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Write and manage content for Connection Magazine, including the monthly feature on in-depth regional topics as well as articles to communicate the Chamber EDC’s work to its membership
  • Develop original written materials for a range of economic development and member communication tools and email newsletters
  • Contribute written content and ideas for social media, presentation materials, websites, and advertising
  • Coordinate closely with the Director of Public Affairs and Marketing Manager to ensure brand alignment and cohesive messaging across all platforms
  • Provide event-day support to the Chamber EDC team and carry out other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to tone, clarity, and message alignment
  • Experience writing for newsletters, printed publications, web, and email
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to comfortably engage with leaders in the Bismarck Mandan business community
  • Strong understanding of storytelling in a regional development or membership context
  • Familiarity with economic development or business marketing is a plus
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
