Job Description

Responsibilities

Preparing and managing the weekly parish bulletin
Updating and maintaining the parish website
Supporting efforts that encourage parish engagement and participation by creating flyers, brochures, posters, printed materials, and social media platforms
Drafting letters and announcements for ministry groups
Assisting with communication for parish events, liturgical seasons, and sacramental preparation
Coordinating with parish staff and ministry leaders to gather content and meet deadlines
Proofreading and editing materials for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
Maintain parishioner contact list/database
Manage parish event and activity calendar

Requirements

Experience with print and digital communications
Knowledge of website management and design software
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with a variety of parish groups
Appreciation for the mission and values of the Catholic Church

Preferred

Proficiency with desktop publishing, graphic design, email communication tools, and contact management database
Previous experience in parish, nonprofit, or faith-based communications a plus
