Job Description

About Ristretto

Founded in Winston-Salem, NC, Ristretto is a fully remote digital marketing provider designed to move beyond the traditional agency model. We didn’t begin by copying what agencies do well—we started by studying the opposite, as told by their clients. Through countless one-on-one discussions, we gathered the critiques, hesitations, bottlenecks, and pain points that small business leaders experienced with existing providers, then built our roadmaps directly around solving them. The result is a business model shaped by

real-world needs and feedback directly from the clients we aim to serve.

By combining AI-powered efficiency with human creativity and strategy, we deliver work that’s both fast and on-brand. Our lean model keeps overhead low, which means we can pass those savings directly to our clients. The result? Some of the most competitive pricing in the industry — backed by 15 years of hands-on experience across tech, healthcare, food & beverage, CPG, and automotive.

The Role & Your Duties

We’re hiring a commission-based Business Development Manager to generate and qualify warm prospects and book 1:1 calls for monthly social media management packages. You won’t “close” deals or negotiate terms—your job is to create qualified pipeline and tee up the final conversation. This role is ideal if you’re comfortable with outbound, enjoy starting conversations, and want performance-based upside without meeting-heavy management. You'll be targeting leads in multiple industries spanning automotive, food & beverage, healthcare, CPG, professional services, and more.

Pipeline Generation & Qualification

  • Identify and engage qualified small business prospects via LinkedIn, email, networking, and referrals
  • Start conversations, uncover pain points, and position Ristretto’s transparent, productized packages
  • Qualify for fit (business type, decision maker access, goals, urgency, budget comfort)
  • Answer high-level questions using provided approved talking points and pricing (no custom quoting)

Meeting Booking & Handoff

  • Book qualified prospects into the founder’s calendar for a 1:1 finalization call
  • Provide a clean handoff summary (company, contact, goal, platform links, notes, context, objections)

Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate lead notes and attribution in our tracking process (simple, lightweight)
  • Follow basic outreach compliance rules and platform best practices (no spam tactics)
  • Provide a brief weekly summary of outreach efforts and findings

Important: All contracts, final terms, and payment collection are handled directly by senior leadership. You will not be burdened with binding authority or closing expectations.

Compensation Structure

  • This is a commission-only (1099 contract) role with a flat rate payout of $1,000 per qualified, successfully signed client.

Why This Role is Worth Your Time

  • 100% remote
  • Paid membership to a modern downtown coworking space in Winston-Salem, NC.
  • Paid entry to local networking events and conferences
  • No set schedule or working hours—work how you want and from where you want
  • Simple offer that’s easy to sell: clear tiers, transparent pricing, no haggling
  • Founder-led closing: you focus on pipeline; the founder closes and manages delivery
  • Lean + fast-moving: minimal red tape, quick feedback loops
  • Performance-based upside: your income scales with results, not hours

Best-Fit Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Winston-Salem/Greensboro/High-Point, NC business sphere
  • Experienced in outreach, outbound communication, or community engagement
  • English language fluency with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable learning and leverage AI, automation, and process-enhancement tools
  • An interest and willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in the agency space
