Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support for category sales and profitability metrics for assigned category of business from ideation to launch.
  • Support in the pipeline and product development projects by sizing global sales volume potential, understanding shade/sku count needs, and identifying features and benefits required to compete and differentiate the brand in the market.
  • Support analysis and development of subcategory and product opportunities to support brand growth plans by completing and summarizing competitive landscape, internal learnings, and data/trend resources to form researched and relevant recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain brand team deliverables such as development briefs, campaign and marketing briefs, assortment decks, forecasting inputs, and various product overview resources.
  • Day-to-day support of Brand Manager products from concept to counter, in collaboration with various cross-functional partners depending on place in timeline.
  • Write and present clear, compelling briefs for packaging, componentry, and copy that translates product benefits into consumer language.
  • Conduct post-launch reports including sales performance analysis, retailer feedback, and consumer sentiment, synthesizing findings and communicating to leadership to help inform future planning.
  • Act as the internal product expert, bringing category and positioning insights into cross-functional discussions and strategy.
  • Assist in developing new product launch packages in collaboration with Product Development, Copy, Sourcing, Packaging, Wholesale Channels, and Creative teams that will deliver final product positioning, pricing (all currencies), features and benefits, shade ranges, and global launch assets.
  • Partner with the Global Brand Manager to develop product positioning and messaging informed by research, insights and product understanding.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, with beauty industry experience strongly preferred and CPG experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of these specific functions: product/brand marketing, sales analysis/forecasting, product development, or product management (pricing, merchandising, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency and confidence in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint Proficiency and confidence in using and summarizing syndicated data (Yipit, Circana, DAASH, etc.)Proficiency and confidence in AI tools in a business setting.
  • Ability to confidently present ideas and strategy to large groups of people as well as leadership.
  • Ability to be accountable for and see projects through from start to finish.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Balances data-driven thinking with a creative, collaborative spirit.
  • A flexible, problem-solving attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel will be as needed for meetings and events. We have an office in San Francisco that we travel to for meetings a few times a year. Employee would be expected to be available (given advanced notice) and able to spend multiple days out of town for business.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform essential functions (with or without an accommodation) without posing a "direct threat" to the health and safety to self or others.
