Job Summary

Own on-the-ground activation and field selling in Fort Lauderdale by building a local prospect pipeline, running face-to-face engagements, and educating 21+ nicotine users to drive trial and conversion while upholding premium brand standards.

  • Market & partner discovery: map nightlife, retail, and social touchpoints to identify high-potential venues and opportunities.
  • Prospecting & engagement: generate leads, schedule in-person meetings, and drive consumer interactions across multiple channels.
  • Education to conversion: deliver product demos and guided trials with a consultative, consumer-first approach and post-conversion support.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Through your own experience and The Story House provided research, develop an understanding of Fort Lauderdale’s nightlife, retail and social scene to identify the best people, places and opportunities to introduce our client’s product. This may include bars, nightclubs, convenience stores, vape shops, outdoor meeting places, pop-up retail and special events.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospects through self-generated leads, community relationships and internal sales platforms while organizing face-to-face meetings and consumer engagement opportunities across multiple channels.
  • Engage legal age nicotine users (21+) through personalized interactions, product demonstrations and guided trials that educate consumers, reinforce product and category knowledge and support conversion to smoke-free alternatives.
  • Deliver consultative selling experiences and ongoing post-conversion support while maintaining a consumer-first mindset and exceptional customer experience standards throughout every interaction.
  • Execute daily in-store setup and breakdown, while maintaining product displays, devices, and visibility materials to ensure a clean, organized, and premium brand presence.
  • Monitor inventory levels in each location, identify out-of-stock SKUs, and support product sales through retail partner POS systems. Follow proper escalation and replenishment protocols, coordinate with delivery schedules, and ensure all equipment, sales areas, and brand materials meet execution and compliance standards.
  • Educate and build relationships with retail partners and store associates to support product knowledge, awareness, sell-through and consistent execution.
  • Capture consumer engagement data, leads, performance metrics and market feedback using internal systems while maintaining a strong understanding of daily and weekly KPIs, goals and execution expectations.
  • Handle all equipment and materials with care while following all company processes, compliance standards and local regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training, testing and development programs.

Requirements

  • Must be 21+.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to ~80 pounds.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Preferred

  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred (additional languages a plus).
  • Outgoing, personable, and relationship-driven.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decisions.
  • Experience managing product inventory across multiple channels and retail locations.
  • Active listening and consumer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and within structured programs.
  • Detail-oriented with strong execution and compliance awareness.
  • Consultative sales experience is a plus.
