Job Summary

Own the NW Plus CU brand and community-engagement engine, translating storytelling, partnerships, and member-focused programs into broader awareness and growth across local communities.

  • Brand & Engagement: Lead cross-channel brand storytelling and community partnerships to attract and engage members.
  • Media & Outreach: Pitch brand stories to local media and coordinate interviews and vendor collaborations.
  • Member & Community Programs: Plan member engagement activities, sponsor fundraising, and represent the credit union at community events.

Job Description

  • Brand & Engagement: Build and communicate the credit union’s brand through marketing, community engagement and business development initiatives.
  • Media & Partnerships: Coordinate media outreach and partnerships with vendors/consultants to share NW Plus CU stories and media engagements.
  • Content & Social: Oversee organic content published to NW Plus CU social channels.
  • Community & Events: Organize and attend community events and sponsor charitable fundraising campaigns.
  • Member Engagement: Plan and execute member engagement activities and represent the credit union at community meetings.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Partner with Leadership Team to proactively engage small businesses, community groups, and select organizations to attract new members.
  • Reviews & Reputation: Oversee the solicitation of and responses to online reviews for the branches.
  • Mission Alignment: Understand, internalize and live the NW Plus CU Mission, Vision, Values and Service Promises.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Outreach & Story Pitching: Work with vendors to identify and pitch brand-relevant stories to local media outlets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business/Relationship-building and outreach to organizations and businesses.
  • Comfort with broadcast interviews and speaking to in-person groups.
  • Occasional evenings or weekends work flexibility.
  • Proficient in creating/publishing organic content for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and translate into results.
  • Well-developed organizational skills to prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Commitment to understanding and applying industry advertising regulations through trainings and market research.
  • Collaborates closely with NW Plus CU vendors.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in Public Relations, Marketing, Community Engagement or similar field preferred
