Responsibilities

• Brand Strategy & Positioning: craft brand platforms and messaging across founders and exec teams.
• 0-to-1 Visual Identity Creation: lead logo-centric identity design with multiple directions from a single brief.
• Brand System Development: build production-ready systems, guidelines, and Figma libraries for consistency.
• Brand Applications Across Frontier Technology: apply identity across spacecraft, hardware, digital, and physical contexts.
• Collaboration with the Creative Director: present directions, defend thinking, and iterate quickly in a sprint-led setup.
• Production & Quality Control: finalize files, organize assets, and ensure production-ready output.
• Brand Stewardship: maintain design systems and assets to scale brand language across touchpoints.

Requirements

• Passion for Deep Tech: enthusiasm for aerospace, robotics, energy, biotech, and hardware-scale work.
• Education & Experience: BA/BS in Design plus 6–8 years leading end-to-end identity projects at notable agencies.
• Mark-Making Mastery: strong portfolio demonstrating varied, durable, and distinctive logo work.
• Strategic Thinking: ability to run discovery, develop positioning, and articulate strategic decisions behind visuals.
• Design Software Proficiency: expert in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; strong design systems experience; After Effects is a plus.
• Typography & Layout Excellence: superb typographic sense and attention to detail.
• Cross-Surface Thinking: experience applying identity across physical and digital contexts; hardware/industrial exposure is a plus.
• Attention to Detail & Organization: capable of managing multiple engagements with solid version control.
• Communication & Teamwork: clear communicator with founders and remote teams across time zones.
• Tech Savvy & Curiosity: genuine interest in AI, robotics, biotech, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.
• Bonus Skills: motion design, illustration, 3D, or interactive design capabilities are welcome.
