Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled St. Olaf student seeking a degree or concentration in creative writing, English, or related field. Must be enrolled in the minimum number of credits for eligibility for student employment.
  • Must be able to present completed news articles, blog posts, creative writing assignments or written work relevant to the role for review
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, grammar, punctuation, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Commit to 6-8 hours per week.

Preferred

  • Previous office experiences.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Experience following a style guide and brand standards.
  • Knowledge of AP Style.
  • A dedicated team player, capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously in a goal-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to work on projects and generate ideas independently or in collaboration, while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to learn new areas quickly, take ownership of issues/problems, and develop solutions.
  • Work Study award.
