Job Overview:
We are seeking an Associate Product Manager/Product Manager to join our Respiratory & Acute Care team in Irvine. This role will support the F&P Infant Care medical device portfolio, partnering closely with the New Zealand–based global product management team and the U.S. commercial organization. The Product Manager will support clinical and commercial initiatives across the U.S. market, collaborating with Sales and Marketing to drive product adoption, education, and lifecycle activities, while developing deep clinical and technical product expertise to support market growth and patient outcomes.

Under the direction of the Marketing leadership, the Associate Product Manager/Product Manager will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Market Development Managers, Sales Management, and Clinical Affairs in the day-to-day management of the infant Care product portfolio.
  • Assist in developing strategic plans and messaging for the Infant Care Product portfolio.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of product-related activities for the above portfolio (e.g., cross reference, inventory and pricing requests) including frequent interaction with sales operations, customer service, quality and other Irvine-based departments.
  • Visit customers in conjunction with the sales team to assist in the sales process and gather information about customer requirements.
  • Within the first 12-18 months rotate into the sales field in order to manage an open sales territory for a period of 8-12 weeks. Rotation will include day-to-day management of accounts, prospecting, and direct interaction with customers including training and evaluation support.
  • Manage Infant Care trade shows and other industry events to educate the market about relevant products and/or therapies.
  • Develop training materials and conduct basic training programs (e.g., New Hire Training and Regional Sales Training) to educate Sales Team and customers on the relevant product / therapy.
  • Develop successful relationships with New Zealand offices to facilitate development, marketing and sales operations.
  • Participate in research on market size and potential, competitor products and market share for new and existing products to assess market feasibility.
  • Monitor sales forecasts and check for accuracy to ensure quality information is available for planning and reporting.
  • Become a SME of the product portfolio to provide support to the sales team to facilitate effective use of products.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Scientific education or professional background; experience in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of marketing and/or branding experience, preferably in a hospital-based neonatal and pediatric respiratory environment
  • Experience in product marketing or sales preferred
  • Experience delivering training or educational presentations preferred
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and related disease states preferred
  • Relevant market knowledge within the neonatal and pediatric respiratory field preferred

Salary Range

The anticipated salary range for candidates working in Irvine, CA, is $90,000-$145,000. The final salary and level offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
