Job Summary

Sylvan Learning of Grand Forks is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and community-minded Associate Director to help lead the daily operations of our learning center. This position combines educational leadership, customer service, enrollment, staff supervision, and community engagement to ensure students and families receive an exceptional experience.

Working alongside the Center Director, you will build relationships with families, oversee daily center operations, support instructors, coordinate schedules, and help students achieve academic success. You will also assist with the operation of our Pearson VUE and Meazure Learning Testing Centers, making this a diverse and rewarding leadership opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day leadership and operation of Sylvan Learning of Grand Forks.
• Meet with prospective families to discuss academic goals and recommend personalized learning programs.
• Review student assessments and explain results to parents.
• Build lasting relationships with families through outstanding customer service.
• Coordinate student, instructor, and classroom schedules.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and support instructional staff.
• Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families.
• Help achieve enrollment and retention goals through exceptional service and community outreach.
• Coordinate local marketing initiatives, school partnerships, and community events.
• Maintain accurate student records and operational reports using Sylvan software and Microsoft Office.
• Assist with the administration and daily operation of the Pearson VUE and Meazure Learning Testing Centers while ensuring all testing security procedures are followed.
• Help create a positive, welcoming, and professional environment for students, families, instructors, and testing candidates.
• Perform additional leadership responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in education, management, customer service, or business leadership is preferred.
• Retired teachers, school administrators, and education professionals are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new software systems.
• Professional, dependable, and customer-focused.
• Flexible weekday availability, preferably between 11:00 AM and 7:30 PM.
