Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Associate Director for Communications and Operations will be responsible for strategic communication strategies to prospective students and parents to support ASEM enrollment goals—collaborating closely with Admissions and Recruitment teams, On-campus Events, and Academic Service units.
  • The position will manage the day-to-day operations and team to implement, measure and continuously evolve ASEM’s communication strategies designed to generate awareness of the University of Nebraska and ultimately recruit and convert prospects into students.
  • The position will manage a communications team responsible for generating communication content, design, and project management needed to meet email campaign, SMS , and print deadlines.
  • This role will also be responsible for proofreading, reviewing, and adjusting campaign content to support the ongoing recruitment requests and meet the evolving funnel goals throughout the student cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience with translating marketing communication fundamentals into strategic execution in support of business goals.
  • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions related to marketing communication goals.
  • Experience building relationships across an organization in service of communication goals, especially with non-communication professionals.
  • Experience being accountable for marketing communication goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred

  • 7 years of progressive leadership in communications.
  • Experience supervising marketing or communication staff.
  • Experience contributing to communication strategy within a mid- to large-sized organization.
  • Experience with marketing communication research.
