Job Summary

Own the Collaborative Fundraising Direct Marketing program across HFHI affiliates, shaping strategy, budget governance, QA, and coordinated affiliate communications to drive a world-class, federated direct marketing effort.

  • Define and oversee program strategy, analytics, and budget processes to support a high-impact direct marketing program.
  • Represent the program with select affiliates and manage communications and coordination for collaborative fundraising efforts.
  • Lead QA and governance for affiliate reporting, resources, and partner communications within a complex matrix organization.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Associate Director will be responsible for overarching projects that are fundamental in creating and maintaining a world-class Direct Marketing program. For example: program strategy and analysis; budget creation, approval, management, and maintenance; vendor/agency management; marketing strategies; test design, etc.
  • Will interact closely with the Sr. Specialist on the team as they serve as leads for gathering affiliate resources, provide supporting documentation and reports, managing affiliate relationships, and communicating strategy and results to affiliates as relates to the integration of the Collaborative Operating Model Direct Marketing Program at Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI).
  • Lead efforts of the Collaborative Fundraising Direct Marketing team to perform Quality Control functions on select information before sending that information to affiliates and/or donors.
  • Serve as the Collaborative Fundraising Direct Marketing Program representative for a select group of affiliates.
  • Oversee and create affiliate communications relating to the Collaborative Fundraising Direct Marketing Program, including affiliate meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, managing multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience with direct marketing mail, telemarketing and digital campaigns, and experience staying on top of best practices and trends.
  • Strong technology skills and experience that ideally includes an understanding of large-scale database management; nonprofit constituency relationship management systems; and web-application development processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience creating reports.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills, including the ability to write and speak clearly and effectively, with excellent listening skills.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial and creative approach to problem-solving, and the ability to take advantage of Experience leading and collaborating with others in a complex, matrix-structured, multinational, dynamic organizational environment.
  • Excellent project management and account management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Experience with MS Office environment, including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.
  • Experience with large-scale database management and CRM systems, and related analytics capabilities.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a federated organization with chapters or affiliates.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile teams preferred, but not required
