We are looking for an Associate Designer to join our design and experiences team. This role blends UI craft with AI fluency. You will design interfaces, prototype experiences, and grow alongside AI tools as they become part of how we work.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and developers to create interfaces that are visually strong and easy to use.
- Translate user requirements and business goals into UI designs that improve the overall experience.
- Build prototypes, and interactive mockups to communicate design concepts clearly.
- Apply design principles, usability standards, and brand guidelines to produce cohesive UI work.
- Stay open to using AI design and prototyping tools as they become part of our standardized workflow and bring ideas for how AI can support faster concepting and stronger design outcomes.
- Partner with development teams to hand off design assets and specifications and support implementation.
- Track emerging design patterns, AI capabilities, and technology shifts, and bring relevant findings back to the team.
- Maintain and organize design files, assets, and documentation.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Digital Design or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A portfolio that shows creativity, design skill, and understanding of UI principles.
- Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Suite.
- Genuine interest in AI design tools and where the field is heading. Curiosity and adaptability matter most, and prior hands-on AI experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and layout composition.
- Familiarity with design systems and how components are structured and reused.
- Exposure to design tokens is a nice-to-have, not a requirement.
- Basic knowledge of UX principles and user centered design methods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce pixel perfect designs.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills within a cross functional team.
- Ability to receive feedback well and iterate quickly.
- Familiarity with front end development principles and the ability to work closely with developers.
- Strong time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Curiosity and a growth mindset, with a willingness to adopt new tools and workflows as the field evolves.
