Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Teaching marketing courses which may include marketing communications, marketing research, marketing analytics, principles of marketing, consumer behavior, marketing & design, marketing strategy, and the use of artificial intelligence tools in marketing.
  • Integrating artificial intelligence tools and applications into every course taught, in keeping with the College of Business commitment to AI across the curriculum.
  • Engaging with professional communities in these areas, including marketing practitioners and industry partners.
  • Participating in the work of the department and the university, including advising and serving on university committees as needed.
  • Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
  • By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • An earned doctorate in Marketing or a closely related field.
  • ABD candidates will be considered.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
  • Expertise in one or more core areas of marketing, such as marketing communications, brand management, marketing strategy, professional selling, or marketing research and analytics.
  • Demonstrated practical fluency with artificial intelligence tools and a commitment to integrating AI into course design, delivery, and assessment. All College of Business faculty are expected to teach with AI.
  • A commitment to the University's Theology of Racial and Ethnic Diversity.
  • A desire to work with a diverse community of students and employees who represent various cultures, backgrounds, abilities, ethnicities, political views, and expressions of Christian faith.
  • A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a church. In addition, employees agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.

Preferred

  • A PhD in Marketing or a closely related field.
  • Qualifications to support one or more of the following subjects: digital and social media marketing, marketing analytics and research, consumer behavior, brand management, marketing communications, sales and customer relationship management, and artificial intelligence applications in marketing.
  • Experience redesigning courses or assessments around generative AI, or scholarship examining AI applications in the discipline.
  • Agency, brand management, or professional selling experience, industry certifications, or an active consulting practice that brings current market practice into the classroom.
