Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Creates engaging social media content, including targeted paid ads, for Carnegie Museums’ membership social media platforms as well as copywriting for newsletters, email marketing, and more.
  • Assists as needed with exporting and importing lists in Tessitura and Prospect2.
  • Works with the Digital Marketing Manager, internal staff, and external vendors on digital fundraising and engagement strategies for membership and annual giving. Assists with planning, producing, creating, and managing digital content to be used across all digital channels.
  • Assists with the development and creation of communication strategies, messaging, and brand awareness/consistency to engage current and prospective audiences, boost retention, acquire new members and donors, upgrade members, and build the member-to-donor giving pipeline.
  • Assists in the management of paid digital advertising, such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, and more.
  • Creates and manages budgets for digital campaigns and ads.
  • Tracks performance and engagement across all digital platforms for membership and annual giving through the creation of key performance indicators and evaluation metrics to present.
  • Performs ongoing research into new digital platforms, benchmark trends, and audience preferences.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with solicitation, acknowledgement, and reporting schedules.
  • This includes preparing and sending email solicitations and producing engaging and timely social media content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of three years of digital marketing experience required.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write compelling stories on multiple digital platforms using a variety of voices.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Experience with cross-platform marketing, digital marketing, digital platforms, and trends.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, channels, and platforms.
  • Graphic design and photography experience required.
  • Proficiency in photo and design software is required. Video editing experience is a plus.
  • Must have excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Also requires a highly developed customer relations attitude and the ability to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail required.

Preferred

  • Experience in non-profit, educational, or cultural organizations is desirable.
  • CRM knowledge is a plus.
  • Video editing experience is a plus.
